Questions You May Have on Illinois Home Schooling (PDF)

You may absolutely join our larger group without having a child in the classroom program (also called a "microschool"). However, as this is one of the most popular support offerings, many more details about this program are included below.

The full-time classroom program (M/Tu/W/Th 9 am - 3 pm)

is full for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year, but you may join the waitlist. The form to reserve a spot is here. This offering is most suitable for parents who want the homeschool experience for their child(ren) but are unable to be full-time homeschool teachers themselves. The cost is $135.00/week.

Part-time enrollment is sometimes available, space permitting.

The microschool is a mixed age environment (grades 1-8) of approximately 10 children. Our school year runs Labor Day to Memorial Day, with one week off for Autumn Break, two weeks off for Winter Break, and two weeks off for Spring Break.

Science Club - Thursdays 3:30 to 5:30 pm - $10/session

Art History - Saturdays 10 am to noon - $10/session

One-on-one academic tutoring is also available. Montessori Math and Structured Word Inquiry are the topics most commonly requested. The tutoring rate is $40.00/hour.

Homeschool consulting services are also offered, if you simply need some support for your own family's curriculum planning. It is our intention to have progressive education flourish in Southern Illinois! Please ask for whatever support you need.
