Questions You May Have on Illinois Home Schooling (PDF)

You may absolutely join our larger group without having a child in the classroom program (also called a "microschool"). However, as this is one of the most popular support offerings, many more details about this program are included below.

The full-time classroom program (M/Tu/W/Th 9 am - 3 pm)

has openings for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This offering is most suitable for parents who want the homeschool experience for their child(ren) but are unable to be full-time homeschool teachers themselves. The cost is $140.00/week.

The microschool is a mixed age environment (grades 1-8) of approximately 12 children. Our school year runs Labor Day to Memorial Day, with one week off for Autumn Break, two weeks off for Winter Break, and two weeks off for Spring Break.

Please feel free to contact us to arrange a tour of the indoor and outdoor school spaces, or to ask questions about curriculum.

Homeschool consulting services are also offered, including access to my Lending Library of curriculum materials, if you need some support for your own family's curriculum planning. It is my intention to have progressive education flourish in Southern Illinois! Please ask for whatever support you need.
